Your film fixer in Reunion Island
Filming in Reunion Island? This French island in the Indian Ocean packs a volcano, three green cirques, black-sand and white-sand beaches, a UNESCO-listed National Park and a unique creole culture into 2,500 km². We are Pull Up Événements, a local event and video production agency based on the island since 2017 — and we work as a fixer / local production partner for foreign crews, brands and agencies shooting here.
What we handle for your shoot
- Location scouting — we live here and produce events across the whole island: beaches, lava fields, mountains, urban spots, hotels and private venues, with the right local contacts for each;
- Filming permits guidance — Reunion is France, so French rules apply. We identify which authorizations your locations require (town halls, préfecture, National Park) and handle the requests with the local authorities;
- Local crew & talent — camera operators, drone footage, photographers, hosts and extras from our own network of island-based professionals;
- Logistics — vehicles, accommodation and catering bookings, schedules, weather plan B (we plan events around tropical weather all year long);
- On-site coordination — one bilingual French/English contact from your first email to the last shooting day, first reply within 24 hours.
Why a local partner changes everything here
Reunion is not a big island, but it is a vertical one: micro-climates change within 20 minutes of driving, the light on the volcano is best at sunrise, the west-coast lagoon at golden hour, and some roads close after heavy rain. A crew that lands without local knowledge loses shooting days; a crew with a fixer shoots from day one. Since 2017 we have produced more than 500 events and countless videos on the island — our job is knowing who to call, where to park, and what the weather will actually do.
Practical facts for foreign productions
- Status: French overseas department — EU territory, euro currency, French law and insurance standards;
- Access: direct flights from Paris (~11 h) and regional hubs (Mauritius, South Africa, India);
- Languages: French and creole spoken everywhere, English within our team;
- Time zone: UTC+4 — convenient overlap with both Europe and Asia;
- Drone: French/EU drone regulations apply — we organize compliant aerial footage with local pilots.
